ABOUT ME
I first became interested in investments in college, but my first job was as a sales representative for a furniture manufacturer in High Point, where I grew up. In 1984, while working and living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I met a Merrill Lynch financial advisor who had been in the business for just a few years. I went to his office and talked to him about the brokerage business and what his job was like. That meeting confirmed my opinion that I would love it, and I decided to pursue a career in the industry.
A few weeks later, when I was in High Point for the spring furniture market, I was able to get a couple of interviews with brokerage firms in Greensboro and was offered a job with Prudential-Bache Securities. I’ve had an extensive investment career since then and joined Stifel in 2019. Prior to Stifel, I most recently worked for Wells Fargo Advisors for 16 years.
A long-time resident of Greensboro, I am an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and a board member with the Greensboro Running Club. I hold Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including long-term care and annuities). As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, I am approved to manage client portfolios in the Stifel Solutions Program on a discretionary basis.
